Osteria Weddings is a full-service wedding venue in Casuarina on the Tweed Coast, a few hundred metres from Casuarina beach, 15 minutes from Gold Coast Airport and about 40 minutes north of Byron Bay. Operating since 2014, it is part of the PLB Group, a family-run Tweed Coast hospitality group that started out as restaurateurs. The whole day happens on one property, from getting ready through the ceremony and reception to late drinks, for up to 150 seated or 200 standing guests.
Ceremonies are held in a private courtyard garden with festoon lighting, market umbrellas and a living bougainvillea arch, with a fairy-lit indoor ceremony space ready as the wet weather option. Receptions move into The Refinery, a contemporary hall with fairy light draping, exposed beams, timber feasting tables, bentwood chairs and a built-in dance floor, which opens onto the secret Whiskey Bar. On site there is also a Bridal Suite for hair and makeup and a Groom Room with a barber chair and dart board.
The menus draw on the venue's Italian restaurant heritage, starting with grazing platters or canapes and moving to shared banquets, alternate plate or substantial canapes, with a live chef Raw Bar and late-night feasting as extras. The Essentials Package covers ceremony to reception with furniture, lighting, PA, catering, beverage service and a wedding coordinator, while the Deluxe Package adds fairy light walls, light-up letters and a photo booth.
