About Nikola Estate

Nikola Estate is a family winery in the heart of the Swan Valley, where couples hold both the ceremony and the reception among historic buildings, lush gardens and rolling vines. The Yukich family first planted vines in the valley in 1929, and in 2019 reunited part of the original Houghton estate, where vines were first planted in 1836. Weddings cater for 60 to 260 guests, and a dedicated wedding team offers a personalised service from ceremony through to reception.

There are five ceremony locations. The Chapel is a distinct white chapel set among the Chardonnay vines, The Pines frames vows beneath Norfolk pines around 100 years old, and The Jacarandas places the ceremony under the estate's signature purple blooms. Pavilion Vines sits among the vineyard rows, and the Secret Garden is a hidden courtyard that also suits pre-drinks. Today the estate is Australia's second oldest winery, run by the fourth generation of the Yukich family.

Receptions move to one of five spaces. The 1836 Lawns offers an exclusive outdoor celebration under the stars among jacaranda and pine trees, and The Pavilion, the largest space, is an open pavilion with an outside-inside feel. The Old Cellar is intimate and moody with chandeliers, The Barn is rustic with aged wine barrels, and the Trellis is lit with twinkling lights on weekdays. Compare it with the other Western Australian wedding venues.
