Moments Photography is a Sydney-based husband and wife team, Shyani and Simon, creating colourful, documentary-style wedding photography and film across NSW and beyond.
Moments Photography is run by Shyani and Simon, a Sydney-based duo photographing and filming weddings with a documentary approach. Their work leans into bold colour, big laughs, happy tears and the unscripted moments in between. They mostly let the day unfold on its own, giving direction only when it is needed, and edit for rich, natural colour and true skin tones so a wedding still feels like itself years later.
Shyani founded Moments Photography and holds a Diploma of Professional Photography, with a background in psychology and law. Simon joined the business after more than a decade of professional work, including freelance fashion photography for Harper's BAZAAR and Cosmopolitan Australia. Together they offer digital photography, cinematic videography with drone footage, and true film coverage on 35mm, 120 medium format and Super 8, shot on Kodak and Ilford stocks.
Based in Sydney, they photograph weddings throughout the Southern Highlands, NSW South Coast, Blue Mountains, Central Coast and Hunter Valley, and travel for destination weddings. They welcome every couple, including LGBTQ+ weddings, and are drawn to colourful, vintage-inspired and slightly unconventional celebrations. Couples receive an online gallery within about three weeks.
