MnM Weddings pairs celebrant Michael's fun, engaging ceremonies with Mim's live music, DJ and MC services for weddings from Perth to Margaret River.
MnM Weddings is Mim and Michael, partners in business and in life, who have combined celebrancy and live music into one wedding service for Perth and the South West. Michael is the celebrant, Mim is the musician and DJ, and together they also offer MC work and ceremony setup. They live between Perth and Margaret River and cover that whole stretch with no additional travel costs, with weddings further afield possible for a small extra charge.
Michael grew up on a farm in a rural community in the United States, where he was regularly asked to speak and perform in front of people from a young age. His tertiary study focused on communication, education and facilitation, and he has more than 25 years of experience in that field. He describes his celebrancy style as fun, natural and engaging, drawing funny anecdotes and romantic stories out of couples so the ceremony reflects their story and personalities.
Music runs through the whole business. Michael has gigged and recorded as a drummer, vocalist and guitarist, while Mim, born in Austria, studied music education at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and graduated in Zurich before teaching music on three continents. Mim performs on guitar, piano and vocals with solo or duo options, and the pair will learn up to two new songs especially for your day.
After booking, each partner fills in a separate questionnaire that shapes the ceremony and custom vow options, and Michael meets you to sign the Notice of Intended Marriage. On the day they arrive 90 minutes early to set up and sound check, bringing a battery-powered wireless system where there is no power. Michael leads the ceremony while Mim plays your entrance and signing songs, and they can carry on through cocktail hour, reception sets, MC duties and DJing.
