Missy's Magic Styles is the mobile wedding hair business of Melissa Neville, known as Missy or Mel, a bridal hair specialist in Canberra with over 30 years in the hairdressing industry. Having been around the wedding industry all of her working life, Missy comes to the bride at home, at the hotel or at the venue itself, bringing everything she needs and styling hair on site so the bridal party can simply relax and enjoy the morning.
Each wedding booking starts with a phone call to talk through the dream style, how many loved ones need styling and the dates. The bride then has a hairstyle trial two weeks before the wedding, followed by mobile hair styling on the day. Missy also styles bridesmaids, flower girls and the mothers of the bride and groom, and can suggest styles or interpret half-formed ideas, from classic and modern to unique or quirky.
Outside weddings, Missy styles hair for school formals, graduations and valedictory dinners, and offers Community Cuts in retirement villages, palliative care, aged care facilities and hospitals. She is a member of Sustainable Salons, recycling waste and packaging and donating hair, and has been recognised with industry and People's Choice awards. Wedding enquiries go through the online booking form, which is open for weddings from 2025 to 2029.
