Mercure Kooindah Waters is a golf and spa resort at Wyong on the Central Coast, between Sydney and Newcastle. Weddings here look out over wetlands, a lake and the rolling fairways of the 18-hole championship course designed by Ross Watson and Craig Parry. The ceremony, reception, photos and accommodation are all in the one location, and a dedicated wedding coordinator looks after the planning and the day itself.
Couples can say their vows on the green next to the resort's signature Love Heart Bunker, on Karinyas Terrace with sweeping views over the property, or on the clubhouse landing overlooking the wetlands and boardwalk. Three indoor venue areas suit smaller ceremonies. The grounds and golf course are free to use for photos, and the Wildfire Day Spa on the grounds is within walking distance for wedding morning preparations.
Receptions can be a roaming cocktail party or a seated two course meal, or couples can build their own package with finger food, a buffet or a plated menu. Weddings take from 20 to 200 guests. Packages include a Golf View One Bedroom Apartment for the couple on the wedding night, and guests receive preferential rates across 84 rooms and apartments.
