Marlee Pavilion
A curved pavilion in the Place of Reflection at Kings Park, with a lawn looking over The Old Swan Brewery to the Canning River, for weddings of up to 100.
About Marlee Pavilion
Marlee Pavilion sits within the Place of Reflection at the southern end of the Western Australian Botanic Garden in Kings Park. Surrounded by lush foliage with sweeping views, it is sought after for its peaceful serenity and natural beauty. A booking takes in the pavilion itself and the open lawn of Roe Gardens South, which looks over The Old Swan Brewery and out to the Canning River, for weddings of up to 100 people.
The pavilion covers 78.5 square metres, with bench seating along its walled side, and the Roe Gardens South lawn adds a further 500 square metres. Hard path access runs from the Roe Gardens Carpark and set down zone. The Place of Reflection was created as a tranquil, restorative space for people who have suffered loss or trauma, so special conditions apply and the venue is booked for weddings and private memorial services only.
Kings Park does not hire out chairs, tables or marquees, so couples arrange their own, and structures such as gazebos are not permitted. A wedding booking includes the photography permit, power can be used free of charge when requested, and picnics and self-catering are welcome, with external caterers needing prior approval. Confetti of any kind, candles and bubbles are not allowed, and the venue may be restricted during the summer concert season. Compare it with the other Western Australian wedding venues.
