A working family farm south of Perth with garden and hedge ceremony sites, a chapel in a former stable and a refurbished horse barn for receptions of up to 200 guests.
Mardella Meadows is a family run, working farm of over 100 acres in Mardella, around 35 kilometres south of Perth. Its history as a farm reaches back to the 1920s, including years as a horse training stable, and in 2022 the farm gates opened as a wedding and events venue. Gardens, mature trees, hedges and rustic buildings sit among meadows where alpacas, cattle, sheep and horses roam.
There are four outdoor ceremony sites. The Lilac Lawns offer eucalyptus trees, green lawns and a choice of eight arbours, the Secret Garden is enclosed by hedges with a stone water feature, the Corner Log suits a rustic ceremony and the Hedges give a simple green backdrop. The white brick Chapel, once a stable, seats 180 and works as a first choice or a wet weather plan.
Receptions are held in the Barn, the refurbished main horse barn, with high ceilings, broad windows, air conditioning, a kitchen for caterers and a sound system. Couples have the whole property from 8am to midnight, with the bridal suite from 7am and an event coordinator managing vendors. Drinks and catering can be BYO, and the three bedroom cottage sleeps up to eight of the bridal party. Compare it with the other Western Australian wedding venues.
