Linga Longa Estate is a family owned and operated property near Balingup, set in a valley of 700 acres of private forest and rolling hills along the Blackwood River. It became a wedding venue in 2017, when one of the founding brothers married at the gazebo, and it is set up for relaxed destination camping weddings where guests stay for the whole weekend. The venue is BYO and couples choose their own caterer.
There are four ceremony sites. The Gazebo is perched over the lake, the Lakeside offers a tranquil backdrop, the Oak Grove sits in the shade of a majestic gum, and the Forest Cathedral is surrounded by towering pines. Receptions are held in a permanent 10 by 30 metre clear-walled marquee overlooking the lake, seating up to 150 guests or 200 for cocktails, with a permanent dance floor and festoon-lit timber deck entrance.
Next to the marquee, the Log Lounge has a bar and fire pit for cocktail hour, and the flat lakeside lawn suits outdoor receptions and lawn games. Guests camp on an expansive lawn with a large kitchen, alfresco dining, showers and toilets, either in their own tents or in furnished bell tents. The Bridal Studio sleeps the bridal party in three queen beds, and the estate is pet friendly. Compare it with the other Western Australian wedding venues.

We attended a friend's wedding here in October and it was such an amazing venue! Very different from your usual wedding but in a very good way - it was so nice to get to know some of the wedding guests before the wedding as we were all camping together, it honestly felt like a big family camping…
