About Kidogo Arthouse

Kidogo Arthouse occupies a 19th century limestone building on Bathers Beach in Fremantle, where it hosts exhibitions, concerts and live music through the year as well as weddings. A wedding booking gives exclusive use of the oceanview deck, the kitchen, the Large Gallery, the White Gallery and the limestone courtyard, so a couple can hold a seaside sunset ceremony and a rustic gallery reception in one place for up to 130 guests.

The Kidogo Arthouse Deck measures 10.5 by 20.5 metres, holds up to 100 people and looks straight out over the Indian Ocean. Inside, the Large Gallery has exposed beams and a rustic wooden floor, seating 70 to 90 for a sit-down meal or up to 130 for a cocktail-style wedding. Through a hole-in-the-wall sits the White Gallery, with white floor and walls, for up to 50 guests.

Couples can self-cater or bring their own caterer and supply their own alcohol, which Kidogo staff serve. Trestle tables, timber and metal chairs, vintage furniture and rustic styling pieces are free to use, and the Large Gallery is the wet weather backup. Events finish at 10:30pm, live music stays inside the Large Gallery and confetti is not permitted. Fremantle Train Station is a six minute walk away. Compare it with the other Western Australian wedding venues.

Corrie and I had our wedding ceremony at Kidogo Arthouse last November and couldn’t be happier with our experience. At the time, Chelsea was our event coordinator and she is an absolute asset to the wedding industry. Her consistent check in’s, assistance and guidance made our wedding process so…

Kidogo was an absolute dream location and venue for our wedding. The house itself was quaint, beautiful and intimate (but still managed to comfortably fit all 115 of our guests) and the deck outside had the earthy beauty of fremantle, backdropped by the ocean. It was somehow both romantic and…
