Jason Goode is an authorised marriage celebrant who describes his style as a distinctive mix of warmth, humour and sincerity. He says he became a celebrant because he genuinely loves working with couples, sharing in their story and helping to create a ceremony that marks the start of their next chapter. Every wedding he officiates is written to be a true reflection of the couple, their love and the hopes they share for the future.

Before celebrancy, Jason was a teacher for more than 15 years, specialising in the Creative and Performing Arts. He has been involved in drama and theatre throughout his life and has worked as a professional writer, presenter and MC for functions and events. That background shows in the way he runs a ceremony: confident and engaging public speaking and plenty of laughter, which couples often mention in their testimonials, alongside a strong focus on organisation and attention to detail.

His process starts with a meeting, phone call or Zoom chat to see whether he is the right celebrant for you. Once you book, he meets with you to go through your vision and complete the Notice of Intended Marriage, which must be lodged at least one month before the wedding. He then drafts and refines your ceremony with you, can run a rehearsal if you would like one, and after the day completes and lodges all of the legal paperwork.

Jason offers personalised ceremonies written from scratch, simple registry-style weddings, elopements with just the two of you and two witnesses, paper-only weddings, commitment ceremonies and vow renewals. His site displays an Easy Weddings Five Star Supplier award for 2024 and a Wedding Diaries 2025 Editor's Choice Awards winner badge. He has married couples in Sydney, the Hunter Valley, on the Coffs Harbour coast and across regional NSW, and is happy to travel further.
