Guildhall is a lovingly restored and artfully decorated event space in the heart of North Fremantle, set in the building once known as the North Fremantle Literary Institute, which opened in 1906. The area around the neighbouring town hall has been a community hub since 1904, and Guildhall opened in March 2015. Weddings flow between a spectacular bar, a dining area, a private courtyard and a wood-panelled lounge, with room for 120 cocktail guests or 68 for a sit down feast.
Couples can exchange vows in the Courtyard, a private outdoor space enveloped in vine-clad walls that opens off the main bar, and later dance there under the stars. Glass doors let guests drift between indoors and out. The dark green Foyer has Corbusier lights, a piano and soaring ceilings, the arched back bar suits a hero flower display, and the Reading Room is a quiet retreat for the bridal party or older guests.
All catering is made from scratch using seasonal produce, with a choice of a Mediterranean-inspired long table feast, a roving cocktail menu of up to six courses or food stations, and cakeage is included. The full-service bar offers beverage packages or consumption options. The event team handles planning and supplier access for the whole day, staff look after set-up and pack-down, and an AV system, cordless microphone and tableware come included.
