About Gathering Events
Gathering Events is a mobile catering company with teams in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, bringing coffee carts, food carts, dessert carts and pop-up bars to events. For weddings, the line-up includes a coffee cart, an oyster cart, gelato, popcorn, fairy floss, icy pole and sno cone carts, plus food carts, pre-packaged treats and hampers. Menus can be tailored to the couple, and dietary needs such as vegan, vegetarian and gluten free are catered for.
The bar service is fully BYO, so the couple, venue or another supplier provides the alcohol and Gathering Events provides the service. The caravan bar package, ideal for 100 guests or fewer, includes two RSA qualified bartenders, glassware, a fridge, eskies, ice and all the bar equipment. Their bartenders have mixed signature his and hers cocktails for a Byron Bay hinterland wedding, and served a whisky tasting of five expressions at a Brisbane wedding at Hanworth House.
The coffee cart comes with a barista, espresso machine and grinder, and the service is fully inclusive of beans, cups, lids, sugar and both dairy and alternative milks. A coffee cart needs a standard 10 amp power point or a generator. Services carry minimums, such as 100 serves for coffee, popcorn and fairy floss and 80 for gelato, and final catering numbers are confirmed 10 working days before the event.
