Flourish Bomboniere is a Kellyville business making living plant wedding favours, from olive trees to rosemary, that guests take home, plant and enjoy long after the day.
Flourish Bomboniere describes itself as the first plant bomboniere company in Australia. Led by creative director and owner Kylie from an office in Kellyville in Sydney's north west, it turns live plants into wedding favours that guests can take home and plant in a garden or a pot. The idea is a gift that grows rather than one that gathers dust, and the business presents it as an environmentally friendly green gift.
Every plant creation is made by hand with quality materials, and plants are chosen carefully from its growers. Couples can pick olive trees, rosemary, gardenia, agapanthus, lavender, orange jasmine, lilly pilly, tricolour jasmine or succulents, then choose hessian or decorative wrapping, ribbon colours and a customised thank you label, with sugar almonds as an extra. Seed pouches and boxed seeds are another option, and wooden display boxes and a tiered stand are available.
Flourish Bomboniere sends plants direct from Sydney to New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and South Australia, with pickup from Kellyville, and says it is a preferred supplier for many venues around Australia. Couples quoted on the site chose olive tree and rosemary favours, with set-up taken care of on the day. The business was a finalist in the 2017 Australian Small Business Awards and also makes favours for christenings and corporate events.
