Ferguson Valley Escape
A 12-acre tropical garden resort in the Ferguson Valley with a riverside wedding pavilion, a 300 sqm barn and luxury accommodation, booked exclusively for three-night wedding stays of 20 to 100 guests.
About Ferguson Valley Escape
Ferguson Valley Escape is a boutique resort on 12 acres of lush tropical gardens in the Ferguson Valley, two hours south of Perth and 20 minutes from Bunbury, surrounded by wineries and restaurants. The gardens take their cues from the Bahamas, Bali and Queensland, with a natural spring-fed resort pool and tiki bar. Weddings run as three-night, four-day stays with exclusive use of the whole resort, so the celebration stretches across a long weekend.
Ceremonies take place in the riverside wedding pavilion or in the gardens with candlelit lanterns and festoon lights. Receptions follow in the gardens or in the 300 sqm rustic barn, which has a bar, dance floor, chandeliers and a big internal fireplace. Weddings of 20 to 100 guests are cocktail style, and sit-down dinners suit 50 guests or fewer. The resort sleeps 20 or more in five king and queen suites and a shared bunk room, with camping available for extra guests.
The owners are chefs and cater the wedding day in house, with long table grazing boards and canapés as standard and options from Spanish paella to three-course French or Italian dinners for smaller groups. Drinks are BYO through a self-serve bar or a bartender, and wedding cakes are made in house. Styling and coordination come through partner planners Just Simply Loving, and the Escape Day Spa offers massages before or after the day. Compare it with the other Western Australian wedding venues.
