Eternal Weddings is a bridal boutique with a showroom at 841 Burke Road in Camberwell, Melbourne. The showroom stocks wedding dresses from designers including Pronovias, Rosa Clara, Maggie Sottero, Sottero and Midgley, Morilee, Luna Novias, Rebecca Ingram and San Patrick, and the boutique offers a price match guarantee against any Australian retail store. Brides are encouraged to bring mothers, sisters, friends and bridesmaids along to help them decide.
Appointments run for an hour, with no limit on how many dresses a bride can try on. Once a gown is chosen, measurements are taken and the dress is ordered from the designer, which usually takes five to eight months, and lay-by is available. Alterations are done in house by seamstresses with a combined 80 years of experience, with the first fitting about four weeks before the wedding.
The alterations service is also open to brides who bought their dress elsewhere, covering resizing, added beading, straps and sleeves, and remodelling heirloom gowns. The boutique also sells veils, headpieces, earrings, tiaras and garters, and holds sale events on selected gowns. The showroom opens Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm and Sunday 11am to 4pm.
