Elouera is the wedding and events venue inside the privately owned Kuring-Gai Motor Yacht Club at Cottage Point, surrounded by Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park and the waterways of Coal and Candle Creek. Elouera is an Aboriginal word meaning beautiful view. The venue sits 35 minutes from Manly and just under an hour from the Sydney CBD, and guests can arrive by road, by boat or by seaplane, with buses of up to 39 seats allowed.
Ceremonies are held on one of three lawns, most often the Lower Lawn closest to the water, where a tree forms a natural arch, and the historic clubhouse has a white gazebo on its terraced lawns. Inside, a fairy light canopy covers the room, with a stage and timber dance floor. It seats up to 78 with a dance floor or 120 at full capacity, and a 10x9m clear marquee on the lawn takes cocktail weddings to 150.
Elouera is a blank canvas venue managed by Cloud 9 Events and Styling, who can help with planning, styling and on-the-day coordination. There is no in-house catering, so couples bring their own professional caterer and BYO drinks, with kitchen facilities, an outdoor BBQ and a glass drinks fridge on site. Vendors have access from 9am, dogs are welcome at the ceremony, and the four-bedroom Coal and Candle Cottage next door sleeps ten. Compare it with the other NSW wedding venues.

Our friends got married here. It's a great facility, with a peninsular viewing area containing almost 360 degree views of the water. The facility was in good shape, although the bathroom situation was not top-notch. We got lucky during the ceremony where a plane took off from the water only…
