Eight Willows Retreat sits on 75 acres of natural bushland in the Margaret River region, a short stroll from the Eight Willows lake, where kangaroos gather at sunset. Couples have exclusive use of the retreat, with accommodation, a choice of ceremony and reception spaces and photo locations all at the one destination. Packages cover everything from ceremony-only elopements for 15 guests to sit-down weddings for up to 140 and cocktail celebrations for up to 250.
The Bush Chapel lies down a secluded white limestone path among natural bushland, with a unique wooden arbour. Beside the lake and parkland garden, the willow tree and a charming gazebo offer lakeside settings. After the ceremony, guests enjoy canapes and drinks on the alfresco or in the gardens, then move into the Lakeside Function Centre, which has floor to ceiling windows over the lake, soft furnishings, a statement fireplace and flat, accessible paved access.
The retreat has 27 self-contained luxury chalets, each with a private balcony, plus The Residence, a four bedroom house that suits a bridal suite or an intimate reception for 25 or fewer. The bridal party can get ready in the chalets, and newlyweds stay complimentary on the wedding night with full wedding packages. Those packages include an on-site coordinator, white gladiator ceremony chairs, an outdoor bar and a fully set reception room. Compare it with the other Western Australian wedding venues.
