Double Shot Music is a Sydney live music team led by vocalist Elisha Marie, offering acoustic duos, party bands, DJs and a combined DJ band for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours and receptions.
Double Shot Music is a Sydney band that grew out of friendship: Elisha, Ben, Jake and Andrew met while studying at JMC Music Academy in 2013. They launched their acoustic duo in 2017 and a full party band in 2019, and have since performed across Sydney, New South Wales, interstate and on cruise ships overseas. The team says it has more than 500 weddings and events behind it, and was named in the Top 5 in NSW at the ABIA Awards in 2024 and 2025.
For weddings, Double Shot can cover the whole day: acoustic duo music for the ceremony, relaxed cocktail hour sets, romantic dinner music and then a party band or DJ for the reception. Line-ups range from acoustic and keys duos to trios, quartets and four to seven piece bands, plus saxophone, strings and instrumentalists. Its DJ Band option pairs a DJ with live sax, vocals, violin, percussion or guitar, playing hits from the 50s through to today.
Founder and lead vocalist Elisha Marie personally manages each booking from first enquiry to final performance. The band can learn new song requests with at least four weeks' notice, brings its own PA system, and has battery-powered speakers for ceremonies without power. The band also travels to the Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley, Newcastle and Southern Highlands, with a travel fee further from Sydney. Compare them with the other wedding DJs in Sydney.
