DJ Callum Gracie is a Canberra wedding DJ who weaves live saxophone and trumpet into high energy dance sets, and can also MC your reception.
Callum Gracie is a Canberra DJ and multi-instrumentalist with a Bachelor of Music in jazz performance from the Australian National University. He started busking with trumpet and saxophone in Ballarat at 12 and has worked as a professional musician since 2010. Before going solo he launched and managed a large entertainment agency for more than eight years, organising around 1800 events. He is not an agency now: couples who book get Callum himself.
His most popular package pairs a DJ set with live sax and trumpet on the dance floor, plus a roaming sax feature over dinner. A DJ only package keeps things simple, while the Platinum All Day package covers ceremony, canapés and reception for up to eight hours, with MC, photo booth and lighting on request. Every package includes a premium sound system, a wireless microphone for speeches, a tailored playlist and a personal online planning portal.
Callum also has a secondary school teaching background, which he says helps with public speaking as an MC, and he offers a free 15 minute phone consultation before booking. He lists regular weddings at Canberra venues including Hotel Realm, QT, The Boathouse, the National Arboretum, the National Gallery of Australia and Poachers Pantry, and performs in Sydney and beyond.
