Dan Dimmock Films is Dan, a Hunter Valley and Newcastle based wedding videographer whose documentary style films tell each couple's love story as the day unfolds.
Dan Dimmock Films is a wedding videography business based in the Hunter Valley and Newcastle, owned and operated by Dan. He has worked in the media industry since 2010, creating content for television, social media and radio, and was previously a radio announcer on the local station, Triple M Newcastle. When he is not filming he loves his wife Sarah, their dog Hank, coffee, whisky and travelling. His corporate video work runs under a separate brand, Straightline Media.
Dan films in a documentary style, telling each couple's love story and capturing the meaningful exchanges that make a wedding day. His films are story driven and show the day as it unfolds, weaving in snippets of audio and vision from the ceremony, the speeches and everything in between. Couples begin by sharing a little about their plans, and if the date is free Dan likes to meet over a coffee, his shout, so everyone can get to know each other first.
Many of Dan's recent films come from Hunter Valley venues including Peterson House, Wandin Estate, Squire's Vineyard, Moravia Park, Peppers Creek and Bimbadgen Palmers Lane. He has also filmed weddings at The Newcastle Club, Raffertys Resort and Haven Ridge on the Mid North Coast, plus an elopement and a proposal in Nelson Bay. He works across Newcastle, the Hunter Valley, Port Stephens and the Blue Mountains, and travels further afield.
