Dalmore Farm is a 250-acre family-run working farm in the Blackwood River Valley near Bridgetown, hosting small country weddings and elopements for guest lists under 100. The land has been farmed since the 1890s, the main homestead was built in 1931, and the Hartigan family has owned the farm since 1999. The old Shearing Shed was converted in 2012, and Dalmore has hosted weddings regularly ever since, offering couples a blank canvas for their day.
Ceremonies take place beneath the cathedral-like branches of a 150-year-old cork oak, on a hilltop site with views for miles or among the blossoms of the heirloom pear orchard, with guests carried to and from the ceremony in a vintage hay wagon. Receptions are held in the restored Shearing Shed, with a lounge and bar inside and a patio overlooking the historic Workman's Cottage for pre-reception drinks and canapés with country views.
Wedding parties can stay on site in the Hill House and the 130-year-old Workman's Cottage, restored in 2021, and up to 30 guests can stay in glamping bell tents through recommended providers. Packages range from dry hire to a fully planned and styled Signature package, plus a micro wedding for up to 30 and two elopement packages. Pets are welcome in the ceremony, and at least a week is left between weddings. Compare it with the other Western Australian wedding venues.
