About Coolangatta Estate

Coolangatta Estate is a heritage vineyard wedding venue near Jamberoo, sitting on the site of the region's first European settlement. The 200-year-old Grand Hall is perfect for smaller weddings up to 80 guests, with a warm intimate vibe ideal for long-table feasts.

Guests can stay on-site in the old convict barracks, now restored as a 26-unit motel — destination-feel without anyone needing to travel far. For larger weddings a separate function room seats up to 200 with rustic interiors and natural light, still capturing the laid-back winery feel.

Outdoor ceremony spots include the manicured croquet lawn and a fairy-lit fig tree backdrop. Surrounded by vineyards, historic buildings, rolling hills and the river, Coolangatta Estate offers a relaxed but unique heritage and wine-country setting.

What's included at Coolangatta Estate

Catering — in-house only — the estate "does not permit outside catering for these packages" (a venue fee applies if you bring an external caterer). Packages are built on two- and three-course alternate-drop set menus, with the Ruby and Diamond packages adding an hour of pre-dinner drinks and canapés on the Great Hall Lawn plus bridal-party refreshments.
Packages — Emerald — ceremony plus a five-hour reception with a two-course set menu. Ruby — adds pre-dinner drinks and canapés and a three-course menu. Diamond — adds a four-hour drinks package and a night's accommodation for the couple. All include self-serve tea and coffee and your wedding cake.
Beverages — the estate is fully licensed and strictly no BYO; licensed until midnight with last drinks at 11.45pm. Drinks are a separate four- or six-hour standard or premium package, or a bar tab on consumption (a four-hour package is included in Diamond).
Ceremony — included in all three packages, with your choice of location — under the historic Moreton Bay Fig Tree or the hedged Croquet Lawns — and a wet-weather back-up in the Great Hall (100) or the Chapel (60). Ceremony setup includes 20 white folding chairs, a clothed signing table and bubble blowers; personal décor is welcome but not included.
Reception rooms — five hours in your choice of the Crow's Nest (150 with a dance floor, 200 without; private bar and open fireplace), the heritage-listed Great Hall (70) or Alexander's (60) overlooking the Shoalhaven River.
Accommodation and parking — 26 historic motel-style rooms sleeping up to 70 guests, with the Convict Cottage complimentary on your wedding night; off-street parking for over 250 vehicles.
Minimum numbers — 50 guests to secure venue exclusivity.
