Colin Dodds Music
A Sunshine Coast vocalist and acoustic guitarist who plays wedding ceremonies and receptions, from aisle songs to a packed dance floor.
About Colin Dodds Music
Colin Dodds Music is the business of Col Dodds, a professional vocalist and acoustic guitarist based on the Sunshine Coast. Before settling there, his career as a live performer took him across three continents, from beach bars in Thailand to apres-ski seasons in New Zealand, and he has flown to Uluru to play a destination wedding. He has arranged and performed at weddings on the Sunshine Coast and throughout Australia.
For ceremonies, Colin times the music to your steps down the aisle, plays while guests are seated and during the signing, and can create an acoustic arrangement of a chosen song. Subtle outdoor speakers or a purely acoustic set suit settings like beach weddings. Receptions run up to five hours, moving from relaxed background music to party songs, with stage and dance floor lighting and an optional DJ set.
Couples choose from a catalogue of around 500 cover songs, or Colin reads the crowd and keeps the hits rolling. He is ABN registered, an APRA AMCOS member and holds public liability insurance, and he is happy to meet for a coffee anywhere on the Sunshine Coast to plan the music.
