Cherbon Waters is a private garden wedding venue on the banks of the Leslie Harrison Reservoir in Burbank, about 25 minutes from the Brisbane CBD and seven minutes from Capalaba, Mt Gravatt and Cleveland. The property was designed as a ceremony and reception venue, with a covered lakeside gazebo and a permanent marquee that both look out over the water, so guests stay in one place from the vows to the last dance. An equestrian centre also operates on the property.
Ceremonies take place in the purpose-built waterside gazebo or on the lawns, surrounded by tropical gardens, striking gums and native bush, with a Grand Bridal Walkway beneath a hibiscus-laden entry. Receptions move into the silk-lined marquee, which has chandelier lighting, sandstone flooring, a large timber dance floor and a sandstone bar, and overlooks Reflection Cove, lit up at night. The marquee seats up to 160 guests at round tables or 200 at rectangular tables.
Every menu is four courses, starting with canapes and bar service on the lawns, then entree, main, dessert, and tea and coffee, with vegetarian, vegan and allergy-friendly options. Cherbon Waters is a BYO venue, with glassware and bar staff included. The venue also hosts Indian weddings, from mandaps and horses for the baraat to fire ceremonies and authentic Indian cuisine, and couples can book a garden ceremony on its own.
