Camille Abbott is an Adelaide marriage celebrant who has been authorised for 18 years and working full time since 2012. She says it is her brother's fault: he asked her to marry him and his partner at a relaxed garden wedding in Bridgewater, and on that spring day in the Adelaide Hills she discovered what she is great at. She has now married more than 1,000 couples across Australia.
Her style is fun, relaxed, warm and modern. She loves a good laugh but is clear that a ceremony should never become a stand-up routine, so the sweet moments, the stories and the people you love still get their space. Camille is a proud LGBTQIA+ ally and supporter of marriage equality, and she works with couples of all genders, sexualities, cultures and backgrounds, happily leaving outdated gender roles behind.
Every ceremony is written for the couple, shaped through the online Ceremony Planning Dashboard she has been building for more than 14 years. Her middle package covers all the legal paperwork, unlimited support, a portable PA with wireless microphone, an onsite rehearsal at your venue and travel up to 100km. She is comfortable with elopements, blended families, children in the ceremony, cultural traditions and an Acknowledgement of Country.
Camille says she has been recognised with more than 21 industry awards, including a string of ABIA Best Celebrant placings, and holds a 5 star rating on Google and Easy Weddings. She also hosts the Unbridely wedding planning podcast and runs Unbridely Suppliers, a curated directory of South Australian wedding vendors. She is based in Oaklands Park and works across Adelaide, the Hills, McLaren Vale, the Barossa and beyond.
