About Centennial Parklands
Centennial Parklands hires out outdoor ceremony sites across Centennial Park, only minutes from the Sydney CBD, for weddings of up to 300 guests. The choice runs from natural water features to romantic woodland groves and secluded garden spots. A ceremony booking gives the couple exclusive use of their chosen site for three hours, including set-up and pack-down, plus reserved parking for four cars and signage marking out the ceremony area.
There are nine ceremony sites to choose from. Between Lily Pond and Duck Pond sits under paperbarks beside the 1890s Lily Pond Bridge, the Column Garden and Busbys Promontory are framed by historic sandstone columns, and Paperbark Grove North stands in an avenue of over 60 paperbarks planted around 1899. The Rose Garden, first planted in 1909, suits ceremonies of up to 150 guests. Dogs are welcome at every site.
Couples bring in their own suppliers, with up to two tables, seating for 50, cut flowers and an arch, chuppah or mandap allowed, while confetti, open flames and pegged structures are not. A ceremony booking also covers wedding photos anywhere in the Parklands during the booking time, and receptions can follow in a marquee on the lawns or at the Discovery Centre. Under 50 guests; $895 for 50 to 150 guests and $1,250 for over 150. FY 2026-2027 fees, GST inclusive.
