A husband and wife wedding photography team capturing fun, natural and unposed weddings across the Hunter Valley, NSW and around Australia.
Cavanagh Photography is a husband and wife wedding photography business run by Adam and Kim Cavanagh. Originally from Sydney, they started the business in 2008 after backpacking around the world together, and later moved to the northern end of the Central Coast, close to Newcastle and the Hunter Valley. Adam is the photographer and editor, while Kim looks after bookings, accounts and all client correspondence.
Adam's approach is candid and unposed. He documents the day as naturally as possible, gives a little direction for family portraits and location photos, and otherwise lets couples relax and be themselves. He also tries to create something epic on the day, such as a sunset portrait or a night shot. Adam has photographed close to eight hundred weddings in the Hunter Valley region alone.
In 2025 Adam photographed 84 weddings and elopements across the Hunter Valley, the Mid North Coast, the Central West, the Blue Mountains and the Southern Highlands. Recent real weddings include Seclusions in the Blue Mountains, Turon Gates at Capertree, Collits Inn, Seacliff House at Gerringong and Longview Farm, and interstate work has reached Uluru and Alice Springs.
