Cakes by Tati is the custom cake business of Nathalie, who was born and raised in Mauritius, moved to Australia in 2007 and officially opened Cakes by Tati in 2013. Tati is a childhood nickname from Nathalie's older brother. Working from Gables in Sydney, Nathalie handcrafts cakes for weddings, birthdays, christenings and special events, and delivers safely across Sydney.
Each wedding cake is tailored to the couple's theme, colours and venue, whether that means soft florals, modern minimalism, tall statement tiers or intricate textures. The gallery shows naked, buttercream and fondant cakes, vintage piping, wafer paper and sugar flowers, fresh flowers and fruit cakes. Designs are created in the Cakes by Tati style rather than copied exactly, and inspiration pictures are welcome as a guide.
A published price guide explains serving sizes and tier options for single tier, vintage and tiered cakes, and a cake sample box is available through the online shop for couples who want to taste first. Recent wedding cake set ups include Cropley House in Baulkham Hills, Athol Hall in Mosman and The Crown at Barangaroo.
