A family crop and livestock farm near York in the Avon Valley, with a salmon gum bushland arbour, a stone hall, the Wed Shed and a farmstay school house for up to 150 guests.
Barton Park Events is on a broadacre crop and livestock farm in Quellington, around 20 kilometres from York and an easy 90 minute drive from Perth. The Gentle family has owned the farm since 1864, and after earlier ventures including the Quellington School Farmstay and a vintage caravan bar, they hosted their first weddings in 2020. Rolling hills and native flora surround the spaces, all within walking distance of each other.
There are four ceremony locations. The Bushland Arbour sits at the end of a winding lane, a natural log arbour framed by towering salmon gums. Quellington Hall is a historic stone hall that doubles as the wet weather option, the Wed Shed blends old and new beside the reception area, and the landscaped lawn around the Quellington School House offers another setting. Receptions can be held on the lawn, in the Wed Shed, in the bush or in the hall.
The Wed Shed opens onto a paved courtyard framed by gum trees and native gardens, with power, water, lighting and cocktail furniture, and 600 square metres of landscaped lawn sits beside the school house. Barton Park is fully BYO for food and drinks with no minimum spend, holds up to 150 guests and runs until midnight. The 1885 Quellington School House sleeps up to six for getting ready and the wedding night. Compare it with the other Western Australian wedding venues.
