Shona Tough is the friendly Scottish celebrant behind Aye-Do Weddings, based in Woy Woy on the Central Coast. She creates warm, relaxed and completely personal ceremonies, and her aim is simple: a ceremony that truly reflects the couple and leaves memories for a lifetime. She marked ten years as a registered marriage celebrant in 2025.
Shona works with each couple to shape the ceremony around them. That can mean writing special vows, choosing readings, involving friends, family and children, incorporating rituals, or including a culturally significant moment. She shares a selection of readings and ritual ideas, and says it is the personal attention to detail that makes each marriage ceremony unique.
Her ceremony options include personalised weddings, elopements and intimate weddings, and legals-only ceremonies for couples who want to be married without the fuss. She also offers handfasting, a Celtic tradition where the couple's hands are bound with ribbons or cords to symbolise their commitment. As a registered civil celebrant she guides couples through the legal paperwork and formalities.
Shona conducts ceremonies right across the Central Coast, including Ettalong Beach, Umina Beach, Killcare, Pearl Beach, Gosford, Terrigal, Avoca Beach, Kincumber and The Entrance, and is always happy to travel further for the right wedding.
