About Araluen Botanic Park
Araluen Botanic Park sits in a sheltered valley of the Perth Hills at Roleystone, about 40 minutes from Perth, with 14 hectares of cultivated botanical gardens set within 59 hectares of native West Australian bushland. The park hires out a range of outdoor ceremony locations, as well as partly covered areas, for weddings of 30 to 300 guests, with heritage stonework, tranquil water features and seasonal gardens as the backdrop.
Ceremony sites include the natural Amphitheatre with its tiered lawn and view of the Old Swimming Pool, the Rose Garden Gazebo and the Mary Hargreaves Pergola for up to 100 guests, the partly shaded Bennet's Lawn with its historic bridge, the Roundhouse Lawn beside a running stream and the Stinton Creek Lawn for 50 to 150 guests. The Forest View Deck is the reception space, seating up to 200 for bookings of two or four hours.
Each package includes guest entry, exclusive hire of the chosen location and access to the whole park for wedding photos, with parking for up to 600 cars included in the hire fee. Couples bring in their own celebrant, caterer and other suppliers, and BYO alcohol is not permitted. Spring, from mid October to early December, and autumn are the best seasons, and the park takes no venue hire bookings in August, September or early October.
