About A Celebration Day

A Celebration Day is the business of Amanda Knapton, a Sydney marriage celebrant based in the Sutherland Shire who travels all over Sydney. Amanda became a marriage celebrant in 2008 and has since married hundreds of couples, from the beaches to the mountains. In 2021 she also qualified as a Celebrant Trainer and Assessor, and she now helps aspiring celebrants across Australia start their own careers.

Amanda writes fresh, engaging ceremonies built around each couple's story and personalities, and she takes care of the legal paperwork and lodgement along with the special touches on the day. Couples can choose a relaxed legals only ceremony in her home studio in Sydney's south, or an elopement or mini wedding package that brings together the celebrant, photography by Bedford Photography and florals by Floral Fix, with larger packages adding styling, a cake and a ceremony PA system.

Recent ceremonies on her wedding blog include riverside weddings at Audley Dance Hall in the Royal National Park, a beachside celebration at Rydges Cronulla, a modern wedding in Surry Hills, a morning elopement at Lilli Pilli Point and a Tuscan inspired wedding in the Hunter Valley. Amanda also marries couples travelling from overseas and helps them organise everything.

We couldn’t have asked for a better celebrant! Everything ran so smoothly and perfectly. Amanda's calming voice made us and all our guests feel completely at ease throughout the ceremony. Amanda was professional, warm, and truly made our day special. Highly recommend!

Amanda officiated our wedding on a scorching hot day by the water back in march. We had quite a big wedding and Amanda was extremely organised ensuring the boys and guests were prepared for the official components of the ceremony. She was passionate in bringing elegance to our ceremony. Thank you!
