A Celebrant To See
Jean Marie Cook of A Celebrant To See is a warm, experienced celebrant on the Tweed and Gold Coast border who writes personal ceremonies that slow down and savour every moment.
About A Celebrant To See
Jean Marie Cook, known to couples as Jean, is the celebrant behind A Celebrant To See. Jean is a proud mother of three sons and a daughter and grandmother of four, and says it was that experience of love within a family that led to celebrancy. Jean wanted to share that message and be there for the moment two people whisper 'I do'. After many years as a celebrant, Jean still describes the work as a privilege.
Every ceremony is written for the couple, telling your story in a style that suits the two of you. Jean aims to keep things real and unhurried, slowing the ceremony down so you can take in each moment and the energy of the people around you, with plenty of laughter and happy tears. Testimonials praise a calm, caring nature, close attention to detail and beautifully chosen words, along with a plan for everything on the day.
Jean is closely involved in the celebrant profession. Jean is currently President of the Alliance of Celebrants Queensland and a committee member of the Coalition of Celebrants Associations, and works as Celebrancy Academic Manager for a celebrant training company, teaching students who want to become marriage celebrants. Jean's stated aim is keeping celebrancy professional and in tune with what couples want. Away from weddings, Jean is usually in the garden or with family.
There are three ceremony packages: Simple Elegance, French Provincial and Peacock Splendor. Each includes lodgement of your legal documents, unlimited phone and email contact, a personally written ceremony, a resources booklet of sample wording, a rehearsal at your venue, a quality portable PA, an attendant to play three songs and a commemorative certificate. The higher packages add vows printed on antique satin card and a French provincial or white peacock signing setting. Jean's site lists the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Byron Bay.
